A retro walk on Aegina
Are you ready? Take a small package of the well-known pistachios of Aegina in your hand and start your walk in the center of the island! Every sight will seem just like it hoped out of a cart postal: the white church of Saint Nikolaos, the boats and fish taverns, the neoclassical buildings and the monuments. Furthermore, you will see the Cathedral and you can shop from floating grocery stores! In the alleys there are cafes with yards, galleries, tourist shops with accessories and clothes. Lastly, continue your walk in the old fish market and try fresh seafood snacks with ouzo.

The Temple of Aphaia
The Temple of Aphaia is a well-preserved ancient temple predating the Parthenon. The temple dates back to 500 BC. Rising up out of a pine forest above the bay of Saint Marina, the peaceful setting invites you to sit down for a while, feel the ancient energy of Greece and consider the mysterious triangle connecting this temple, Sounion’s temple of Poseidon and the Parthenon.

Paleochora: A stroll through the old capital of Aegina
Paleochora is the old capital of Aegina, located on a pine-covered hill. Walk among the 38 stone churches to reach the top of the twin chapel of Saint George-Saint Demetrius: here was the castle of the city.

Saint Nektarios – The Church and the Monastery
One of the most miraculous and popular temples of the country is located in Aegina. Its characteristic is the two high bells of the church. It is just 6 km away from the center of the island and you can find it on your way to Saint Marina. The holy temple of Saint Nektarios attracts pilgrims throughout the year.

On the island you will have free time (almost 5 hours) for food, coffee and strolling. Do not forget to take many photos.

The departure from Aegina is estimated around 16:00 in the afternoon.

Then we will head back to Athens.
